I just got into Henderson, NV yesterday. I came out for a conference with three other people… and slept most of the way in the car. I have an amazing desire for sleep… I really prefer to get 10 to 12 hours in a day and act groggy when I don’t.
On the way out here we drove past the Hoover Dam. The bypass bridge is almost complete from the looks of things. I’m actually excited about this… as silly as that sounds. The Hoover Dam is considered to be one of the seven wonders of the industrial world. How often do you get to see a “wonder of the world” changed considerably? Okay, well maybe not the dam itself, but still… the way it will look compared to how it looked when your parents or grandparents may have traveled there will be very different!
Tomorrow I plan to head into Las Vegas. I have errands to run, plenty of people to see, and things to do. Note the order of that, okay? It’s not people to do and things to see as some may think!
I wrote the the Burlesque Hall of Fame the day before yesterday, which is run by Dixie Evans (the Marilyn Monroe of burlesque), who also runs the Burlesque Museum. I’m hoping to actually get to tour the museum this year. The past few years it has not worked out. Last year I was told the museum was being moved down to Fremont Street and wasn’t ready yet. The year before that I received a response back too late and was already headed out of town. I wish it were easier to go see this place! At any rate I’ll be really happy if I hear back tomorrow.
Other than that I have a few surprises in store for all of you… so keep checking back!

Okay, it’s 6:40 am and guess who is still awake? That’s right… me! Somehow this always seems to happen, even when I am not working. It’s like every night I stay up a half hour to a full hour more than the last… and eventually that means that I’m not actually getting any sleep until about 9 am the next morning. It annoying really. I need an internal reset button, ambien or something! I should start taking Benadryl about 2 hours before bed… that stuff always seems to knock me out.
Yesterday I spent my entire “day” responding to interview questions from YNot.com (not safe for work). I like written interviews in that they give me time to really think through my responses… but I hate them because I rephrase so often and that it typically leads to grammatical errors from not restructuring the entire sentence. Not to mention the fact that apparently I like to talk a lot… not that any of you know anything about me being like that! Just kidding… I know you all know. It’s amazing to think that I was ever a shy child! Oh well… not anymore.
I got a friend’s request from one of the producers of the Jerry Springer show today on Myspace. They are looking for people from the adult industry to do a show on. I’m probably going to call them tomorrow to see what exactly it is they are looking for. I’m all for the publicity, but if this turns out to be like the Tyra Bank’s episode “PornTown” then my interest level will be at zero. I hate shows that set up the people interviewed to be on the defense. I mean if they are going to do that then they producers ought to at least give the people on the show the questions in advance so that they can prepare. I’m terrible with names, numbers etc… but I can generally give you an overall idea of a historical event or study. So in my case being able to just look up basic information for defenses being used would be rather handy. I’m probably getting all worked up over nothing though. I’ll call later today.
I also updated my calendar a bit more. I think keeping that up to date is going to become a task! Hopefully it will make me stay on top of my plans though.
Finally, I’ve been browsing through TheFloatingWorld.com (not safe for work) today. I never realized how many of the features out on the circuit use the same website templates. It makes me very happy to have something so unique! Granted, mine isn’t a paid membership site, but that’s because a membership site isn’t really what I wanted. I was aiming more for a site that would encompass things interested to my fans, students, and clubs potentially booking me. So I’m pretty happy with it. If you have ideas though for something you’d like to see let me know!
I’m logging off now… hopefully to get some sleep.

I’m actually feeling really accomplished today. The past few days I have spent updating some little things here and there around the site.
The last place I performed at was terrible! I’d never wish for any dancer to perform there (as a matter of safety), nor will I ever recommend it. I’m still astonished in the lack of business ethics and management. So, I am happy to say that the club is no long listed under upcoming performances.
You may have noticed though that under the “Appearances” page I have begun to add clubs for dancers to contact me about. If you plan to travel or know a dancer who is, please check that list to see if the club being traveled to is on that list. If it is, contact me and I’ll be more than happy to share my experience at the club.
Finally, I am working on getting the shop area set up. I’m so excited about that! Once it’s complete you’ll be able to purchase 5×7, 8×10, and poster sized prints with the option to have them autographed. There will also be a way for you to order specialty items such a mouse pads, luggage tags, drink coasters etc. Let me tell you though, finding a company that will let a girl do all of that is not easy! I’m going to be using a print on demand service, and of course their terms of service agreements normally get somewhat sticky when it comes to implied or risqué images. So as I start shooting more with photographers wiling to release the images for sale be on the look out for more products to be available through my shop page!
